ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mai Majdy, an Egyptian artist, born in Tripoli raised and lived in the UAE for over 30 years, immersed in the vibrant cultural tapestry of the UAE, which defined her artistic journey as a testament to the rich interplay between tradition and innovation. A 2006 graduate with a bachelor's degree in Applied Arts from Cairo, Mai boasts more than 18 years of immersive experience in the realms of arts and creativity.Mai 's formative years in the UAE have left an indelible mark on her artistic expression. She remains fiercely loyal to the society that nurtured her, intricately weaving the tapestry of her art with threads of people, heritage, and traditions.As a visual artist, Mai constantly challenges the confines of conventional art, casting a luminous presence in the contemporary art scene. Her exceptional artworks, which are marked by a mesmerizing fusion of imagery and profound messages, resonate deeply, leaving an indelible impact on the viewer›s consciousness. "At the core of my work lies a deeply intimate journey, one where the threads of memory, experience, and subconscious visions are intricately woven together. My art beckons you into a realm where life and culture are reimagined, particularly through the mysterious lens of womanhood. I embrace the delicate balance of softness and strength, the beauty and complexity that define her existence not just as a body, but as a soul, a thought, an enigma.I seek to blur the lines between reality and dream, inviting you to step into a space where the conscious mind dissolves, and the subconscious whispers it's truths.Rooted in the timeless traditions of womanhood, yet infused with a pulse of modernity, my work delves into the very essence of society. 2• SPECIAL OIL PAINT COMMISSIONS
Clients may entrust Mai with full creative freedom to design original compositions or distinctive backgrounds, developed through a series of conceptual sketches before the final artwork. Reference photos provided by the client are thoughtfully integrated, reflecting Mai’s signature style seen in her exhibited works and public art shows.The following sizes and costings are guide, for:
• Unframed stretched canvas.
• One-person portrait.
• Highest quality oil paint.
• Special commissioned artwork with Mai’s artistic imagination and signature style.
• Prices above include 1 individual in the portrait.
• All paintings are stretched canvas %100 Cotton.
• Purchaser agrees to pay a non-refundable amount of %50 to the Artist upon signing the contract and the remaining %50 upon the client approval at the sketch stage.(Artist Mai Majdy cannot release the final
commission painting to the client without a fulfilled invoice).
• The time it takes to finish the commission varies 2 weeks-months depending on factors such as size, health, the complexity of the commissioned piece, other work, and art seasons.
• The client get 2 rounds of changes on the commissioned piece included in the price. more changes will come at an extra charge based on an hourly wage.• GET A QUOTE : Email the artist at [email protected] with details including your preferred size from the price list. • Prices above include 1 individual in the portrait.
• All the artworks are digital in charcoal style (sketch style with no colors).
• Purchaser agrees to pay a non-refundable amount of %50 to the Artist upon signing the contract and the remaining %50 upon the client approval at the sketch stage.(Artist Mai Majdy cannot release the final commission file to the client without a fulfilled invoice).
